Owen Michael Hughes

Owen Michael Hughes of Cincinnati, Ohio, age 30. Deeply loved and treasured son of Kevin and Frances (nee Telecky) Hughes. Devoted fiancé of Morgan Neal. Cherished brother of Emily (AJ) Upton, Eileen (Brian) Sabatalo, and Elise Hughes. Adored grandson of Maureen Hughes and the late Jerome Hughes, Norman and Virgina Telecky. Amazing uncle of Theo, Rose & Jane Sabatalo and Drew, Ada, James & Charlie Upton. Owen is survived by many adoring aunts, uncles, and cousins. Owen went to be with the Lord on April 12, 2025, in Chicago, IL.

Owen was born in Cincinnati on January 17, 1995.
He attended Saint Gertrude grade school and was a proud member of the long blue line of St. Xavier High School. He went on to Indiana University and has lived in Chicago with Morgan and countless friends for the last 8 years. Since graduating, Owen found great fulfillment in his work at High Street Logistics Properties. Through his years at school and work, Owen developed many personal and professional friendships that he loved and treasured. His infectious smile and effervescent spirit, which had a lasting impact on all who met him, will be deeply missed. Owen and Morgan Neal, his fiancé and perfect partner, were set to be married in May of 2026.

Owen lived his life to the fullest; never missing an opportunity for some friendly competition, trips with friends and family, good meals and big laughs. He was always thinking of others before himself and wanted everyone to feel comfortable and have a great time. The joy he brought to life and his vibrant spirit will continue to shine through the countless lives he touched. Owen was a force of positive energy. His good friend said it best: "O loved like no one else" and we are all better because of Owen's love.

A visitation to commemorate and honor Owen's life will be held on April 29th 4:30-8:00 PM at St. Xavier High School. Funeral services will be held at St. Gertrude Church in Madeira, OH on April 30th at 9:30 AM followed by a celebration of Owen's life at Kenwood Country Club.
